I think the boy likes porridge!

Yeah yeah, I know, every family has the obligatory ‘baby in a mess with food’ shot. I just couldn’t help myself.

Passing the time

Every night there is the ritualistic routine that involves me having to wait about 20 minutes for the dog to finish mooching round the garden, doing what ever he needs to do, so on this particular night, as it was clear I decided to take out my camera and see what would happen. (I never profess to be David Bailey).

At what point were we allowed pets?

So Rachel calls me the other day…

“Had a bit of a problem, the dogs been on a mental and eaten some of my hair removal cream.”

“Is he alright?”

“Yeah I think so, looks a bit sheepish though.”

“What’s it say on the packet about ingesting it.”

“Dunno, but I doubt it will mention anything about dogs eating it!”

“Oh yeah?!? Try and get him to drink loads of water. Use the hose or something, he goes crazy for that.”

“Yeah, okay. might have to take him to the vets though.”

“Maybe, but I think we should just wait and see if his bum goes bald!”

It always comes back to music

Our current situation at home means I have abstained from buying any CD’s for the past few months. For someone like me who needs to hear something new almost daily it has, at times, been like giving up smoking alcohol heroin.

That was until I stumbled across MP3 Blogs. Not the most groundbreaking of cures I know but since discovering this vast community with the likes of Gorilla Vs Bear, My Old Kentucky Blog and You Ain’t No Picasso updating their sites daily, my life has been (semi) saved.

Not only have I now got a nice, albeit, limited source for new tunes, (most of the blogs have a couple of cheeky ‘free’ tracks), but it has certainly regenerated my thirst for new music. Although with my CD list now growing even bigger I’m not sure how long I will be able to hold off the shakes. A lottery win or a rather generous gift is gonna have to come soon or the dog is off to the circus.

For Rachel

Happy Birthday Honey!
