It’s A Bit Like Rocking Horse Shit

After hours, days even, of searching the internet and eBay, I’ve finally got my hands on a very rare and much sought after original Airport Card. With prices at a premium, (in some cases £100+ due to Apple no longer making theses little babies), going wireless has come at quite a price. Sure it would have been cheaper if I chose a USB adapter but it would have used up my remaining USB port and not only that, it’s been great to at last get rid of the miles of phone cable that snakes it’s way around the house.

So how much did I pay?

Well, that would be telling, although I still had enough change from £100 to buy approximatley 4 CD albums or, in old money, 14.3 pints of Guinness!

House Keeping

I have just tidied up my server and changed my site root so I’m only checking that nothing has got lost on the way.

For Stu

A good friend of mine, Stu (Bradders) Bradley, has taken the brave and giant leap today to quit the politics and monotomy of his dayjob and find solstice and wealth in the ocean of Freelancing. My hat is off to you Stu and I wish you the very best of luck fella.

It feels so strange to be alone

Approximately only 36 hours ago Rachel and Thomas left to go the Rachel’s parents in Leicester for a long weekend, (Thomas is being toured about again and I got some free time to tie up some DIY jobs, great!!), and boy does it feel strange round here to be on my own again. I suppose having such a dramatic change in your life makes you instantly forget what is was like before. Okay so the past nights sleep is only gonna be bettered by tonight’s but that no substitute for the feeling that sense of emptiness.

A sense that, in a funny, humbling kind of a way, I’m pleased I am feeling.
